Neuralgiaisapainfulconditioncausedbydamagetotheperipheralnervoussystem.Neuralgiamayresultinacutepaininaspecificareaofthebody.Thispaincanrangefromasteadyburningtoaprickingorelectricshocksensation.PainManagementtreatmentsrangefromsofttissuetherapyandspinalmanipulation,topainreliefmedications,antidepressantsandanticonvulsants,toevenelectrodetherapy.Neuralgia,alsocalledPeripheralNeuralgia,isoftenextremelydifficulttotreat.
神经痛是由于周围神经系统受损引起的疼痛性疾病。神经痛可能导致身体特定部位的急性疼痛。疼痛的性质包括固定的烧灼感、刺痛和电击感。疼痛控制方法包括软组织治疗、脊椎推拿、止痛药物、抗抑郁药和抗痉挛药，甚至电极治疗。神经痛，又称作外周神经痛，通常非常难以治疗。

Causes（病因）
Thisconditionresultsfromdamagetoyourperipheralnerves.Thesenervescanbedamagedbydiabetes.Theycanbeharmedbydisordersofthekidneys,liverandthyroid.Theycanbedamagedbyinfectionsandbytraumaticinjury.Alcoholism,toxins,vitamindeficienciesandotherfactorscanalsoharmthesenerves.
本病因周围神经损害引起。周围神经损害可因糖尿病、肾病、肝病及甲状腺疾病引起。感染或外伤，酗酒、中毒、维生素缺乏和其它因互也会造成这些神经的损害。
Symptoms（症状）
Becausetheperipheralnervesplayaroleinsomanyfunctionsinyourbody,peripheralneuralgiacancauseawiderangeofproblems.Youmayhavenumbness,tinglingandpainfulsensationsinyourextremities.Youmayhaveproblemswithstrengthandcoordination.Youmayhavecrampsandspasmsinyourmuscles.Youmaybesensitivetoheatandtouch.Youmayexperienceproblemswithyourdigestiveandurinarysystems.Yourheartrateandbloodpressuremaybeaffected.
因为周围神经对身体的许多功能起着作用，所以周围神经痛会引起广泛的问题，包括肢体的麻木、刺痛和疼痛感，对力量和协调能力的影响，引起肌肉的抽筋和痉挛，对热和触觉过敏，出现消化系统和泌尿系统的问题，心率和血压也会受到影响。
